What WardLine does

The bed board as open admissions — one per bed, one per patient, both refused by the database. Round notes are append-only rows against the admission, and the discharge is a gate: no summary, no signer, no bill decision — no discharge.

How you actually use it

  1. Admit to a bedPatient, ward, bed and the reason for admission. One open admission per bed and one per patient — both refused by the database rather than by whoever is watching.
  2. Write the round noteAppend-only rows against the admission. There is no editing yesterday’s note, which is the whole point of a ward record.
  3. Transfer when the bed changesThe move is a row with a time on it, and the census and the bed-day charges are both counted from those rows.
  4. Watch the running billWhat has been charged so far, the deposit held, and the split between what the payer owes and what the patient does — while they are still in the bed, not at the counter.
  5. Discharge through the gateNo summary, no name that signed it, no recorded bill decision — no discharge. The constraint holds the door rather than a reminder.

What happens to our data if we uninstall WardLine?
