Labs & diagnostics

From the booking to the signed report, and the bill.

Patients book a test and a collection slot online, the phlebotomist collects at home with barcoded custody, each sample goes to the lab in your chain that runs it, normal results are released by your own validated rules and the rest wait for the pathologist. The report goes out with a trend patients can read, and the bill is priced from Test Master.

Today

Live: booking, home collection, sample routing, autoverification, reports with trends, B2B clients and franchise centres, ISO 15189 and EQAS work, histopathology, and test prices with walk-in billing. Nothing clinical ships: reference ranges, autoverification rules and prices are the lab’s own to enter, and criticals, delta failures and results under a QC lockout are never released automatically. Not yet: a home-collection charge on the bill.

How it works

One sample, start to finish

Each step is an app with its own listing, on the same patient and the same order, so nothing is typed twice.

  1. Booked onlineA test or a package, a pincode check, a collection slot, and payment now or at the door.

  2. Collected at homeThe phlebotomist’s route for the day, the barcode at the door, and custody from the arm to the bench.

  3. Routed to the right labEach sample goes to the lab in your chain that runs the test, against cut-offs and capacity, with dispatch and receive scans and a collection-to-report clock.

  4. Released by your rulesNormal results go out by the rules your lab validated; criticals, delta failures and QC lockouts always wait for the pathologist.

  5. A report patients can readThe signed report with a trend report beside it, your letterhead and the pathologist’s own comments, delivered by a checked link.

  6. Priced and billedEach test priced on each price list in Test Master. A walk-in’s tests land on one bill, and an unpriced test is flagged before it is ordered.

AI in every app

It drafts and suggests. A person decides.

Meet medappz AI
Shows its sourcesClinical and financial answers are grounded in your own records, and name the ones they read.
Drafts, never filesA named person accepts or discards every draft. The model never signs.
You can turn it offOne setting per organisation: off, redacted or full. Off keeps the manual path.
Redacted before it leavesBy default the patient’s name, number and contact details are taken out of what the model sees.

What AutoVerify promises

Every app in the store states what it reads, what it writes and what it will never do. This is its listing, word for word.

● live in clinicsAutoVerify →
Reads
resulted lab orders and their values, ranges and flags, DeltaCheck flags and QCBench runs and lockouts, the ordering doctor, ward and patient phone for a call-back
Writes
each decision: released or held, why, the rule version and the inputs, the signed report, through LabBridge, in the duty pathologist’s name, critical call-backs, every call attempt and the read-back
Never
It never releases a critical value, a delta failure, a result from a QC lockout or a value with no reference range, never changes a rule version that has released a result, and never closes a critical call-back without a read-back.
Your data
Full PHI. Rules stop releasing and every result waits for the pathologist again. Decisions, rule versions and call-back logs are kept as the audit.

Questions, answered

What works today, and what does not yet?
Live: booking, home collection, sample routing, autoverification, reports with trends, B2B clients and franchise centres, ISO 15189 and EQAS work, histopathology, and test prices with walk-in billing. Nothing clinical ships: reference ranges, autoverification rules and prices are the lab’s own to enter, and criticals, delta failures and results under a QC lockout are never released automatically. Not yet: a home-collection charge on the bill.
Which apps are behind it?
Live in clinics: LabBridge, TestBook, HomeDraw, HubRoute, AutoVerify, SmartReport, TRFScan, LabNetwork, TATLens, NablPrep, EQASTrack, IHCTrack, FrozenSectionQA, FNACDesk, PapReport, RadioReport. Each listing says what the app does and what it does not.
How do I get it?
Everything marked live runs in the demo practice now, with invented patients in it. Or set up your own practice in about a minute.
Does the AI decide anything?
No. It drafts and suggests from the records on your screen; a named person accepts or discards every draft, and one setting per organisation — off, redacted or full — decides what reaches the model.
