WhatsApp for staff · being built now

Your hospital, on WhatsApp.

Staff link their own number once, then ask and update from a common MedAppz number. Every change comes back as a card with Confirm and Cancel buttons.

How it will work

Link, ask, update, confirm.

Link your numberBeing built nowIn the app, Profile → Connect WhatsApp. A 6-digit code goes to that number and you type it back in, so owning a phone number is never proof of who you are.
AskBeing built nowMessage the common MedAppz number: “How many admissions today?” The answer is short and phone-shaped, with a link that opens the exact screen.
UpdateBeing built nowSend “BP 130/80 for bed 12”, a voice note, or a photo of a lab report. Voice notes are transcribed and photos are filed as documents, each as a card.
Confirm with a buttonBeing built nowEvery change comes back with Confirm and Cancel buttons. Replying “YES 1” works too. Nothing is saved before you confirm.

What the chat may show

A setting per clinic. The default keeps clinical detail out of WhatsApp.

Minimal (the default)Counts, statuses and links only. A patient’s clinical detail never appears in the chat; you tap the link and read it in the app.
FullDetails in the chat itself. Only the clinic’s owner can switch it on, and the consent notice says so.

What setup needs

A WhatsApp Business number for your clinic, through Meta directly or a provider such as Gupshup or MSG91, with its message templates. We help you connect it. Until it is connected, a simulator runs the same steps with a test phone, so your team can try it first.

For patients, it is live already

WhatsApp AssistantLive todayOn your clinic’s own number: books, reschedules, answers “is my report ready?” once it is signed, and hands anything else to a person.

Questions, answered

Is the WhatsApp assistant live?
Not yet. It is being built now. The in-app assistant it runs on is live today, by text and voice.
What does a clinic need to set it up?
A WhatsApp Business number, through Meta directly or a provider such as Gupshup or MSG91, plus its message templates. Until that is connected, a simulator runs the same steps with a test phone.
Can anyone who messages the number see data?
No. Only staff who linked their number with a code from inside the app are recognised, and they see only what their role may see. Unknown numbers get the patient assistant or a polite note to ask their clinic.
What about patients on WhatsApp?
The patient-facing WhatsApp Assistant is live today: it books, reschedules and answers “is my report ready?” on the clinic’s own number.

Want it first?

Tell us your clinic and whether you already have a WhatsApp Business number. We will call when it opens.
