What ChartBrief does

A pre-visit digest assembled from the patient’s own rows — active problems, allergies, current medicines, recent results carrying the interpretation the lab recorded, recent visits and notes, and anything overdue on a care plan or a recall. Every row it read is kept as a source with the excerpt it contributed, and that list is the brief on its own. The assistant then writes short claims, each naming one of those numbered sources; the number is resolved against the list the server supplied, never against an identifier the model produced. With the assistant switched off, or refused, the screen says which and shows the sources.

How you actually use it

  1. Pick the patient and the windowWhose record? searches by name, MRN or phone, and How far back is 3 months, 1 year, 3 years or 10 years.
  2. Build the briefBuild the brief reads the patient’s own rows — active problems, allergies, current medicines, recent results, recent visits and notes, overdue plan milestones and open recalls — and each becomes a numbered source carrying the excerpt it contributed.
  3. Ask the assistant, or do notAsk the assistant to write it is a checkbox beside the button and appears only where the assistant is offered; with it off, What it read is the whole brief and the screen says the assistant was not asked.
  4. Read each claim against its sourceEvery claim the assistant wrote is printed next to the numbered source it cites, resolved against the list the server supplied; a claim citing nothing in this brief cannot be stored and the count of the dropped ones is printed under them.
  5. Keep the earlier briefsEarlier briefs lists every brief built for this patient with how many records it read, how many lines it produced and whether the assistant was used, refused or not asked; nothing here writes into the chart.

It writes nothing into the chart.
