What TriageLine does

Structured triage with a standard acuity scale, time-to-physician tracking, and the bed board in the same view.

How you actually use it

  1. Triage the arrivalA new arrival takes the presenting complaint, walk-in, ambulance or transfer, the acuity from 1 to 5 and whatever vitals were taken — naming the patient is optional, because the unknown patient is real in an emergency department.
  2. Let the queue order itselfThe queue sorts by the latest acuity and then by arrival time, computed rather than stored, so a re-triage moves the row immediately.
  3. Re-triage as a new lookRe-triage takes a new acuity and an optional reason and appends to the history rather than overwriting it, and it is refused on an episode already disposed.
  4. Move them to a bay and stamp seenA bay is recorded on an episode still in the department, and Seen stamps once.
  5. Disposition after that, never beforeAdmit, Discharge, Refer and LAMA appear only once the patient has been seen — a CHECK chains disposition behind that stamp, and it stamps once.
