What AntibioGuard does

Restricted antimicrobials need an indication and an approver; every course carries a review-or-stop date; culture results prompt de-escalation with the narrower option shown. The unit antibiogram builds itself from real isolates.

How you actually use it

  1. Ask for approval on a restricted drugThe drug and the indication. Unrestricted drugs never generate a request, so the list is only what somebody has to look at.
  2. Approve or decline, with a reasonBoth directions carry the sentence. The review board sees the same list.
  3. Watch the open coursesEvery running course carries the date it is reviewed or stopped, and the ones past it are at the top.
  4. De-escalate when the culture comes backThe narrower drug is offered beside the running one. The app does not stop an antibiotic itself — it makes a person decide on the date they promised to.
