What ObesityPath does

Structured weight programmes, pharmacotherapy courses, bariatric workup checklists, and the lifelong post-op supplement and lab schedule that surgery commits a patient to.

How you actually use it

  1. Enrol with height onceOn Enrol on the obesity pathway, find the patient, type Height (cm) and Target (kg), pick the starting pathway — lifestyle, pharma, bariatric work-up or post-bariatric — and press Enrol. The database keeps height between 100 and 250 cm, the target between 30 and 300 kg, and one active enrolment per patient; enrolling dates the programme’s review milestones from the start.
  2. Record weightsStory opens the patient; Weight (kg), then Record. Weight is recorded once per day and refused outside 20–400 kg. BMI is computed from the last weight and the height on every load and never stored, as are the trend arrow and the percentage lost.
  3. Move pathway with a reasonMove pathway to a different pathway with the reason for the move. The move is appended to the pathway story with its author; a move to the same pathway is refused.
  4. Check post-bariatric supplementsOn the post-bariatric pathway the row offers B12, iron, calcium and vitamin D by month after surgery (1 to 120), taken or missed. The service refuses a supplement check on any other pathway.
  5. Read what is overdue, and stop with a reasonThe overdue badge counts review milestones past their date. Stop asks why the patient is leaving the pathway.
