What DiabetesYear does

The full KDIGO/ADA-cadence year as a programme: quarterly HbA1c to target then 6-monthly, annual fundus, foot exam and urine ACR, titration loops between visits — every element a recall that chases itself.

How you actually use it

1. 1Enrol and the year lands datedEnrolling creates the care-plan enrolment and materialises its milestones in one transaction — four HbA1c points, the fundus examination, the foot examination and the nephropathy screen, each on its own due date.
2. 2Set the target per patientThe HbA1c target is this patient’s, not the clinic’s, and must sit between 5% and 12%; it can be changed later, but only on an active enrolment.
3. 3Record each HbA1cA value outside 3–20% is refused as a typo rather than a result, and the reading has to belong to a patient actively enrolled on the diabetes year.
4. 4Read who is slippingThe registry shows the last HbA1c, whether it is at that patient’s own target and how many care-plan milestones are past due, all computed in the select, and it sorts the overdue to the top.
5. 5Stop with a reasonOnly an active enrolment can be stopped, and the reason stays on the record; program status lives on the care-plan enrolment, so there is no second status to drift.

What it does not do

It does not mark the annual complete with any element missing.
