How it works

  1. Look at the houseOccupancy per ward — occupied, free, being cleaned — on one board rather than on a whiteboard by the nurses’ station.
  2. Transfer with a reasonPick the patient and the bed they are going to. A transfer is a request with a reason attached, not a drag that surprises the receiving ward.
  3. Flag a bed for cleaningHousekeeping sees what is not ready yet, so a bed is not offered twice.
  4. Read the transfer logOne row per move, with when it happened — which is what the census and the bed-day bill are both built from.

Rules it keeps

What it does not do, by design. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.

It does not discharge anyone — discharge is the ward’s, and the vacated bed comes back here to be turned over.

AI in BedBoard

AskQuestions about what is on screen — “What needs attention in BedBoard today?” — answered with the records it read.

BedBoard reads admissions, ward state and writes bed assignments, transfer requests. Its data class is PHI-lite. Every app works on the same patient record — nothing is copied into a silo.
