What CareQuality does

Specialty indicator sets computed from the record — door-to-doctor, prescription safety overrides, outcome trends — benchmarked across sites.

How you actually use it

  1. Pick the monthAgainst benchmark opens on the month that most recently ended and its picker moves it; every card on the screen follows that month.
  2. Compute what the record can countCounted from the record lists the indicators that name a source, and Compute snapshots that month’s numerator and denominator together with the sentence they were counted from; a month that has not ended yet is refused.
  3. Record by hand what it cannotCounted by hand prints each indicator’s numerator and denominator definitions; choose it under Trend, type the two counts and press Record — a numerator larger than the denominator is refused by a check constraint.
  4. Read the varianceThe rate and the variance are computed in the select from the stored fraction every time the row is read, the Source column says computed or manual, and an indicator with no benchmark reads none set.
  5. Open the basisbasis on a computed row prints the sentence that produced the number, and Trend lists that indicator’s stored months with the same source and note beside each.
