What Automations does

A page of ready-made automations you switch on — no flowchart builder to learn. For patients: birthday wishes, appointment reminders at 24 hours and 2 hours, a thank-you with a review ask after the visit, a win-back the morning after a no-show, medicine-refill nudges, “your report is ready”, polite payment reminders, and festival greetings on the dates you pick. For the clinic: stock below par opens a purchase task, an ageing unsigned report escalates, an unpaid bill gets a nudge and a follow-up task, a poor review alerts the owner and opens a response task. Every automation shows its own numbers, and every single run is written down — sent, skipped or failed, with the reason — so “did it go?” always has an answer. Everything ships switched off; you choose what wakes up.

How you actually use it

  1. Read the listReady-made automations — appointment reminders, a thank-you after the visit, a win-back the morning after a no-show, a nudge on an unpaid bill. There is no flowchart to learn.
  2. Switch on only what you wantEverything ships off. Each one is turned on per channel — WhatsApp, SMS or email — so a clinic that only has SMS is not half-configured.
  3. Route the ones that are for staffAn alert that belongs to a person rather than to a patient goes to a role, in the app or on a channel.
  4. Read the run ledgerEvery single run is written down — sent, skipped or failed, with the reason. "Did it go?" always has an answer, which is the part most automation cannot say.

What it reads

appointmentsbillsprescriptionslab resultsstock levelsreviews

What it writes

a run ledgerqueued messagestasks
Same patient record as every other app — nothing is copied into a silo. Data class: PHI-lite.

What it does not do

It never messages a patient who has not consented, never breaks quiet hours or frequency caps, and never sends the same thing twice — a rerun finds the record of the first send and walks away.

Every app page carries this section. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.

Questions clinics ask

What data does Automations read and write?

Automations reads appointments, bills, prescriptions, lab results, stock levels, reviews and writes a run ledger, queued messages, tasks. Its data class is PHI-lite. Every app works on the same patient record — nothing is copied into a silo.

What does Automations deliberately not do?

It never messages a patient who has not consented, never breaks quiet hours or frequency caps, and never sends the same thing twice — a rerun finds the record of the first send and walks away.

What happens to our data if we uninstall Automations?

Every automation stops firing immediately. The run history stays so you can still see what was sent while it was on.

Is Automations available today?

Yes — Automations is live in clinics today. Set up your practice on MedAppz and install it from your dashboard.
