Lab technician guide

Specimens, results and quality control; knows who the patient is, not what else is wrong with them.

The demo opens as Divya Menon, with invented patients. Orders in, results entered, reports signed out.
  • Every sample collected and run within its turnaround time
  • Critical values phoned through at once
  • QC passed before the first patient sample

Rain

What to ask Rain

Rain is the assistant in every screen, by voice or text. These are requests the assistant is taught for this role. It reads only what you may read, and anything that changes a record comes back as a card you confirm.

  • “Open the lab worklist”
  • “How many samples are still to be collected?”
  • “Which urgent tests are pending?”
  • “Open the QC bench”
  • “Show specimens in transit”
  • “Show reagent lots”
  • “Open microbiology”
  • “Show home sample collections”
  • “Kitne sample collect karne baaki hain?”
  • “लैब की लिस्ट खोलो”
  • “Urgent test kaun se pending hain?”

What Rain prepares for a lab technician to confirm: create a to-do for yourself, a colleague or a team; order lab tests for a patient; mark a patient’s lab sample as collected; mark one of your to-dos (or your team’s) done; reject a sample: cancel its test with the reason, to be collected again; receive a sample at the lab from a courier manifest; send a patient their signed lab report, as the PDF.

Say “Brief me” for a spoken summary of your day. More in the Rain guide and on what each role says.
