What LotWatch does

Reagent lot management with bridging-study prompts on lot change, expiry sweeps, and QCBench linkage so a lot change explains a QC shift instead of hiding it.

How you actually use it

  1. Receive the lotReagent, lot number, expiry and the analyte it feeds for QC. The same lot number cannot be received twice for one reagent.
  2. Bridge it against the lot in useBridge opens a form for the samples run on both lots, the correlation as recorded, and a verdict. An unacceptable verdict has to say what was done about it, and a lot cannot be bridged against itself.
  3. Put it in useThe database refuses unless the lot is unexpired, unretired and carries an acceptable bridge against the lot it takes over from. The first lot of a reagent is the one exception, because there is nothing to bridge from.
  4. Open the QC runsQC runs lists the runs that fell inside this lot’s in-use window, with each run’s status and violation — the window decides, not a stored link.
  5. Watch the expiry sweepLots expiring in the next ninety days sit at the top with the days left, and the one in use is marked.
