What QCBench does

QC runs charted with Westgard rules; a failed rule locks the analyte until a documented corrective action releases it.

How you actually use it

  1. Register the QC materialAnalyte, lot, target mean and expiry — the material, before the run.
  2. Run it and record the valueEach value is plotted on the Levey-Jennings chart as you enter it.
  3. A broken rule locks the analytePatient results on that analyte stop. The lockout is the effect; a warning nobody has to act on is not.
  4. Resolve the lockoutWith the corrective action written down. That sentence is what an assessor reads a year later.
