The hospital’s aggregated antibiogram — which organisms are resistant to which antibiotics, drawn from the lab’s own culture and sensitivity results — is submitted to the national Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance Network on its reporting schedule, without patient-identifying detail, because it is the pattern the network needs, not the individual case.
It does not run the culture and sensitivity testing itself — the microbiology lab does; this app aggregates the resistance pattern and submits it without patient identifiers.
