What it is

The waiting room’s news, on the patient’s phone, so nobody has to sit and watch the door. Every patient checked in today gets a thread: a welcome with a link to follow their place, a message when their doctor is running late (the desk says how many minutes and why, once, and it reaches only that doctor’s patients), “moving again” when the delay is over, “you’re next” and “the doctor is ready for you in room C-1”. The place in the line is the same one the queue screens show. Patients can answer from their link — “I’m running late” tells the desk, “Move my visit” offers the doctor’s next free times and the desk moves it. Every message is written to the thread first and sent second, through the clinic’s own WhatsApp template once Meta approves it (SMS until then); anything that could not be sent is marked not sent, with the reason, and is still on the patient’s link.

How it works

  1. Patients check in as usualAt the desk or at the door — each one waiting today gets an update thread and a link to follow it.
  2. Tell them when a doctor runs lateSet the minutes and why on the doctor; only that doctor’s waiting patients hear it, and again when it is over.
  3. They come back when they are next“You’re next” and “the doctor is ready” go out by themselves; replies like “running late” reach the desk.

Rules it keeps

What it does not do, by design. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.

It never moves a patient in the queue or reschedules a visit by itself, never says a message was sent when no channel carried it, and never names another patient.

Questions clinics ask

What does WaitWise do?
Live wait-time updates to waiting patients on WhatsApp, with the doctor’s delays and “you’re next”. Every message is written to the thread first and sent second, through the clinic’s own WhatsApp template once Meta approves it (SMS until then); anything that could not be sent is marked not sent, with the reason, and is still on the patient’s link.
What data does WaitWise read and write?
WaitWise reads today’s queue and each patient’s place, the doctor on each visit, the patient’s first name and phone and writes each patient’s update thread and what reached them, the doctor’s running-late note, a task for the desk when a patient replies. Its data class is PHI-lite. Every app works on the same patient record — nothing is copied into a silo.
What does WaitWise deliberately not do?
It never moves a patient in the queue or reschedules a visit by itself, never says a message was sent when no channel carried it, and never names another patient.
What happens to our data if we uninstall WaitWise?
Updates stop. Threads already sent stay on record; the queue itself is unchanged.
Is WaitWise available today?
Yes — WaitWise is live in clinics today. Set up your practice on MedAppz and install it from your dashboard.

Tell us what you run and we will show you this app inside a practice shaped like yours — or answer the question the page above did not.

We use your name, phone number and clinic name for one thing: to answer this enquiry about MedAppz. It is stored on our own server, in the single region our trust centre names, and it is not sold or passed to anyone else.
