What DialysisDesk does

Chair and machine scheduling, session records with pre/post weights and vitals, consumable tracking, and the recurring-visit rhythm a dialysis unit runs on.

How you actually use it

  1. Add the unit’s chairsA chair takes a code such as CH-1 and the machine on it — Fresenius 4008S; a second chair with that code is refused, and the board builds itself from them.
  2. Book the sessionFind the patient, choose an active chair and morning, afternoon, evening or night; a second session for that patient on the same date is refused.
  3. Start with a pre-weightStart (pre-weight) asks the weight in kg; only a booked session starts, a chair that already has a running session is refused, so is a patient already on one, and a weight outside 10–300 kg is refused as a typo.
  4. Complete with a post-weightComplete (post-weight) closes a running session and fluid removed is computed from the two weights, never typed; the chair time on the board is elapsed from the recorded start, because no planned duration exists to count down from.
  5. Cancel only before it startsCancel takes a reason and works on a booked session — a started session completes or stands.
