What StaffDesk does

The week as a grid you type into — one shift per person per day. Leave that cannot overlap itself (the schema refuses the second request), decided with a recorded reason. Credentials — registrations, BLS cards — that announce their expiry instead of lapsing quietly.

How you actually use it

  1. Type the weekThe rota is a grid — one shift per person per day. You type into it rather than dragging cards around.
  2. Decide leaveApprove or refuse, and a refusal carries its reason. A second request that overlaps the first is refused by the schema, not by whoever notices.
  3. Keep the credentialsRegistrations and BLS cards with their expiry dates. The desk announces the ones running out instead of letting them lapse quietly.
  4. Record the privilegesWhich procedures each clinician is cleared for, with the evidence and the expiry. TheatreFlow reads this list when a declared procedure is booked.
