What VisitorPass does

Attendant passes with photos and ward rules, visitor windows enforced kindly, and an evacuation-ready census of who is in the building.

How you actually use it

  1. Issue the passPick the admission and name the visitor and their relation; passes attach to open admissions, so a closed one is refused.
  2. Print itThe printed pass carries the visitor, who they are visiting, the ward and bed, the date and the last characters of the pass id.
  3. Check them in and outBeing inside is an open row: a check-in requires a live pass on an open admission, and a partial unique index refuses a second in before the out.
  4. Read who is insideInside now counts the people in each ward and lists them by name with the time they came in, computed on every load and stored nowhere.
  5. Revoke a passRevoking takes a reason and only an active pass, and after that the check-in is refused at the door.
