VisaDesk

● live in clinics

The invitation letter, the medical visa, and the fourteen days the FRRO gives you.

In plain words: Write the invitation letter and keep the FRRO clock after they land.

What VisaDesk does

The paperwork the Indian state requires, with the clock that goes with it. The invitation letter goes to a named consulate and will not issue until a doctor here has given an opinion and the traveller’s passport is on file — the two things a foreign government is entitled to assume are true of a letter with a hospital’s name on it. A changed date is a new letter that supersedes the old one, because the old one is already in somebody’s inbox. The visa is recorded against the person who holds it, so an attendant’s is never filed as the patient’s. And the FRRO registration is counted down from the day they land, on a board that puts the overdue ones first.

How you actually use it

  1. Write the invitation letterChoose the case, the consulate it is addressed to and the dates. It refuses to issue without an opinion behind it and a passport on file, and it numbers the letter for you.
  2. Record the visa that comes backThe patient’s M visa and each attendant’s MX go in against the person who holds it, with the expiry — so a visa running out before a procedure is visible before the day it does.
  3. Start the clock when they landEnter the arrival date and the due date is worked out for you. The board counts the days down and shows the overdue ones first.
  4. Close it with the acknowledgementRecord the day it was registered and the e-FRRO reference. Without the reference it will not save, because without it nothing was filed.

Same patient record as every other app — nothing is copied into a silo. Data class: Full PHI.

What it does not do

It applies for nothing. No consulate, no e-FRRO portal and no embassy is contacted from here — the acknowledgement number is typed in after a person files it. It stores the passport in the patient record, not a second copy of its own.

Every app page carries this section. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.

Questions clinics ask

What data does VisaDesk read and write?

VisaDesk reads the traveller’s passport, the doctor’s opinion, the arrival date and writes invitation letters, visas and their expiry, FRRO registrations and the acknowledgement. Its data class is Full PHI. Every app works on the same patient record — nothing is copied into a silo.

What does VisaDesk deliberately not do?

It applies for nothing. No consulate, no e-FRRO portal and no embassy is contacted from here — the acknowledgement number is typed in after a person files it. It stores the passport in the patient record, not a second copy of its own.

What happens to our data if we uninstall VisaDesk?

The letters and registrations leave with the app. The passport stays where it always was, on the patient’s identifiers.
