What SurvivorCare does

Protocol-driven survivorship: imaging and marker calendars per disease, late-effect screening (cardiac after anthracyclines, thyroid after neck RT), and the plan the patient holds too.

How you actually use it

  1. Own the protocolA surveillance protocol is a list of visits by month and kind — clinical, imaging or marker — that the clinic edits; a protocol with no visits is refused, and editing one changes what the next enrolment gets rather than the calendars already handed out.
  2. Enrol from the end of treatmentEnrolling takes the primary cancer, the date treatment finished and whether the intent was curative or adjuvant, and the calendar is dated from that completion date rather than from the day somebody got round to enrolling.
  3. Record the late-effect screensA screen records cardiac, fertility, endocrine, bone, psychosocial or second primary, and one marked as referred will not save without the finding it is being referred for.
  4. Raise a suspicion with its investigationA suspected recurrence has to state what is being done to investigate it, and the registry counts the open ones on the patient’s row.
  5. Close it, and let a confirmation end the surveillanceClosing a suspicion as ruled out or confirmed takes what the investigation showed, and a confirmation closes the survivorship enrolment in the same transaction that writes the outcome.
