What it is

So who owes what, and who did what last month, is not a recurring argument. A family is the parent and the siblings (or other relatives) in the arrangement, each optionally linked to the parent’s care circle. The family agrees a formula — each member’s percent of the costs and of the duties, from a day, with how it was agreed — and a new one starts from a later day; the shares must add up to 100 and the app suggests none. Each care cost is recorded with who paid it, or as paid from the parent’s own money, which is not split, with any bill reference; each duty with who did it and the hours if counted; each settlement between two members. The ledger is arithmetic on the formula in force on each day: what each one paid, their share, what they settled, and whether they are square, owed or owing, with duties counted against their duty share. A month’s statement is printed for the family. Every entry is kept as recorded; a mistake is voided with a reason.
