Data Import

● live in clinics

The old spreadsheet, read out loud before anything is written — and reversible until it is used.

In plain words: Bring patients and dues in from your old system.

What Data Import does

The day you move in. Upload the export from whatever the practice used before, and the columns are matched to fields for you — change any guess. Then the part that matters: a dry run that says, row by row, exactly what would happen. This one becomes a new patient. This one is already on file, matched on the mobile number, so it will be skipped. This one is refused, and here is why — an unreadable date, no age at all, a mobile a message could never reach. Nothing has been written yet. Only when you have read it does “bring it in” do anything, and every row then records what it created, so pressing it twice cannot make a second copy of anybody. Money owed from the old system comes in the same way and lands as a real bill, dated when the balance was struck so it ages honestly. Appointments already promised land on real slots in the doctor’s own hours. And while nothing has been built on an import — no visit, no payment, no arrival — the whole batch can be withdrawn with a reason.

What it reads

What it writes

patientsopening-balance billsappointmentsan import ledger of what each row became
Same patient record as every other app — nothing is copied into a silo. Data class: Full PHI.

What it does not do

It never writes anything during the dry run, never overwrites a patient who is already on file (it matches and skips), never merges records on a guess, and refuses to withdraw an import once the clinic has used it — a patient with visits is part of the record, not an import that can be taken back.

Every app page carries this section. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.

Questions clinics ask

What data does Data Import read and write?

Data Import reads the CSV you upload, patients already on file, the doctor’s open slots and writes patients, opening-balance bills, appointments, an import ledger of what each row became. Its data class is Full PHI. Every app works on the same patient record — nothing is copied into a silo.

What does Data Import deliberately not do?

It never writes anything during the dry run, never overwrites a patient who is already on file (it matches and skips), never merges records on a guess, and refuses to withdraw an import once the clinic has used it — a patient with visits is part of the record, not an import that can be taken back.

What happens to our data if we uninstall Data Import?

The import screens go away. Everything they brought in stays exactly where it is: those are your patients now.

Is Data Import available today?
