What SampleMeds does

Sample stock from representatives logged with expiry, dispensed against patients with a zero-charge record, and expiry sweeps that pull them before they lapse.

How you actually use it

  1. Receive what the rep leftReceive takes the sample, the batch number, the quantity, the expiry and who it came from, into a register kept separately from clinic stock.
  2. Hand one out against a prescriberHand out takes the quantity and the prescriber’s name, moves the receipt’s on-hand in the same transaction, and is refused when it would take the balance below zero.
  3. Watch the expiry sweepExpired and still on the shelf lists batches past their date with what is left on each, and the update that would hand one out refuses inside its own WHERE.
  4. Read the hand-out bookHand-outs lists what left, from which batch, on whose prescription and when — and no table in this schema has a price column, so a sample cannot reach a bill.
