What QueueWatch does

A patient who has checked in opens the link the clinic already gave them and sees where they stand: their token, how many people are ahead of them in their own line, and about how long that is at the pace consultations are actually running today. When they are next it says so; when the desk calls their token it says which room. Nothing new is kept — the answer is read, every half minute while the page is on screen, from the OPD queue Today’s Queue runs and the tokens the desk prints. So a patient can wait in the car, or the canteen, instead of the corridor.

How you actually use it

Check the patient in as usualAt the desk, from Today’s Queue or the arrival kiosk. The visit joins the queue and the token prints — nothing extra to do.
Make sure they have their linkShare the patient portal from their visit (Share patient portal, or WhatsApp it). The same link carries everything else of theirs.
They watch their place from anywhereTheir page shows their token, how many are ahead and about how long, and refreshes every half minute while it is open.
Call them the way you already doCalling the patient in, or calling their token to a room on the token desk, turns their page to “It’s your turn” with the room.

What it does not do

It does not call anyone, reorder the queue or promise a time: the estimate is today’s average pace times the people ahead, and it says it is an estimate. It shows the patient nobody else’s name or token — a count, their own number and a room. It works only for a patient who has been checked in today with the portal link the clinic issued; there is no separate sign-up and no app to install.

Every app page carries this section. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.

QueueWatch reads the OPD queue, queue tokens, today’s consultation pace and writes . Its data class is PHI-lite. Every app works on the same patient record — nothing is copied into a silo.

What does QueueWatch deliberately not do?

What happens to our data if we uninstall QueueWatch?

Nothing is stored by QueueWatch, so nothing is left behind. Today’s Queue and the token desk carry on exactly as before; patients simply stop seeing their place on their link.
