What ContractsCal does

Leases, empanelments, vendor contracts, licences — one calendar with notice periods, renewal owners and escalation before deadlines, documents attached in DocVault. The Legal tab keeps the legal register beside them: a matter opens from the notice — a consumer complaint, a summons, a show-cause — with the forum, the parties and counsel, hearings chain forward from it and move the clock, and it closes only with an outcome. A matter can point at the MLC it arose from and the liability claim it is fought under; the hearing clock sits on the same board as the undecided contracts.

How you actually use it

  1. Read what is ending with nobody on itEnding, and nobody has decided is the first card: contracts whose end falls inside their own notice period with no decision recorded, computed in the select so nothing has to be swept.
  2. Register the contract with an ownerCounterparty, kind — service, lease, employment, supply, panel or other — the term, the value, who owns the clock and the notice in days; the owner is a not-null column, because a clock nobody owns is not a clock, and a notice period outside 0 to 365 days is refused.
  3. Record the decisionRenew, renegotiate or terminate, with the reasoning in a few words; there is exactly one decision per contract and it stands on the record.
  4. Renew into a successorRenew into a successor writes a new contract chained to this one and stamps the old row; the old term stands as it was signed, the chain runs one way, and a contract renews once.
  5. Close it with a reasonClose the contract asks why and is refused unless a terminate decision is already on the record; nothing here renews itself.
