What it is

A breakdown becomes a ticket with severity, response and resolution SLAs, engineer assignment, spare parts consumed, and a repair history the next engineer actually reads.

How it works

  1. Report the breakdownPick the asset, say what broke and set the severity — down, degraded or routine — and the ticket joins the board in that lane.
  2. Assign it and start workAssign to… names somebody from the roster, and work starts on an assigned ticket — the database refuses a verb taken out of order.
  3. Resolve with what was actually doneResolving asks what was done in at least a few words and takes the parts used, and a resolution without that note is refused.
  4. Have somebody else verify itOnly a resolved ticket can be verified, and a CHECK refuses a verifier who is the person who resolved it.
  5. Read the clocksResponse and resolution times are computed from the stamps rather than stored, and open time turns amber past 24 hours and red past 72 — defaults the footnote names as defaults, not policy.

Rules it keeps

What it does not do, by design. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.

It does not close a ticket without the reporter confirming the machine works.
