What it is

The country configuration a practice runs under: currency, how dates and numbers are written, metric or imperial units, the tax regime by its local name (GST, VAT, sales tax, GST/HST), the identifiers that country actually uses (ABHA, SSN, NHS number, provincial health card, Medicare number), phone code, how an address is written, the week’s first day and the privacy law. India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and the other packs are built in, and every screen formats through the practice’s pack. On top of its country’s pack a practice sets its own: the date and number format in one of the country’s languages, each unit, the tax wording, which identifiers the desk asks for and in what order, and the first day of the week. Clearing a setting brings the country’s value back. Currency and timezone are fixed when the practice is created.
