What it is

A short, private check-in sent to teens ahead of board exams, with a confidential line to the school or clinic counsellor. The practice sets up a season: the exams’ dates, the questionnaire it sends — YouthMind’s PHQ-A or GAD-7, loaded on the PsychMetrics bench with their citations — the score at which the counsellor’s list should flag a check-in, with that score’s source (none ships), the counsellor’s name, and the crisis line it gives in its own words. Each invite is a YouthMind request, so its age gate (12 to 17), its scoring and its same-minute alert on a risk answer all apply unchanged. The young person answers on their own Patient App and is never shown the score; a check-in over the practice’s flag offers the talk first, and anyone may ask for a private talk at any time. The counsellor’s list shows each ask, who is over the flag and any risk answer; the counsellor marks it contacted and closes it with a note. Counsellors hear on WhatsApp that someone asked — never who. No parent’s view shows the answers, the score or the ask.
