What ECTLog does

ECT sessions with consent verification, anaesthesia linkage, stimulus parameters, seizure duration, and cognition tracked across the course with standard instruments.

How you actually use it

  1. Consent before anythingFinding the patient shows a consent badge from the consent engine, and Open course stays disabled until it reads granted; Record written consent puts the grant on the engine, and the consent record’s id is written onto the course in the same transaction as the insert, on a not-null column.
  2. Open the courseThe indication in the words of the record and the planned number of sessions; a patient with an open course already is refused until it is closed.
  3. Two clinicians on every treatmentEach treatment names an anaesthetist and a psychiatrist, the pickers will not offer the same person twice, and the service and the database each refuse it again; stimulus outside 5% to 200% of the machine output is refused.
  4. The seconds are the factA seizure under 15 seconds reads as inadequate, computed on read against the threshold rather than stored — and the Inadequate seizures card lists them; a score is refused outside the range you gave for that instrument, and time to reorientation runs 0 to 180 minutes.
  5. Close with an outcomeCompleted, remission, no response or stopped for an adverse event; the last two need their reason, because it is the note the next psychiatrist reads before trying again, and a further treatment after closing is a new course with fresh consent.
