What DonatedGoods does

A gift in kind booked in line by line, each with a value and how the value was arrived at — the donor’s own declaration, a quotation, or a market estimate. Acknowledging it allocates a gapless receipt number inside the same transaction, so a failed save burns no number; issuing part of a gift to a department cannot exceed what was given.

How you actually use it

  1. Put the donor on the registerAdd a donor takes a name, whether they are a person, a trust, a company, government or something else, and a phone or email; the same donor twice is refused.
  2. Book the gift inBook it in names the donor, the date received, and each thing with how many and what each is worth — with where the value came from: the donor’s own figure, a quotation or a market estimate.
  3. Write the receiptWrite the receipt allocates a gapless number from the numbering series inside the same transaction that writes the acknowledgement, so this screen never invents one; a donation with nothing on it cannot be receipted, and one already receipted cannot be receipted again.
  4. Record where it wentAn issue names the line, the room, how many and what for — Ward 2 dressing trolley; more than was donated is refused, and so is a room this hospital does not keep.
  5. It never becomes billable stockThe card says it and the code holds it: an issue writes no stock movement and no charge, and there is no path in this app that touches either table.

What it writes

donationsreceiptsissues
Same patient record as every other app — nothing is copied into a silo. Data class: No PHI.

What it does not do

It writes no stock movement and no charge: nothing in this app touches the store ledger or a bill, so a donated item cannot walk into billable stock through it. It does not price a gift for you — the valuation and the basis for it are somebody’s stated answer, on the record with their name against it.

Every app page carries this section. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.
