What ThalCare does

Transfusion schedules with pre-transfusion Hb, chelation compliance, ferritin trends quarterly, and annual cardiac/endocrine surveillance — the thalassemia life-plan, on rails.

How you actually use it

  1. Enrol on the thalassaemia yearSearch the patient and press Enrol, and the year’s transfusion reviews and ferritins land dated on the CarePlans due list in the same transaction.
  2. Record each transfusionRecord transfusion takes the units and the pre-transfusion Hb, and the service refuses a Hb outside plausibility or an episode of more than four units.
  3. Watch the ferritinA ferritin outside plausibility is refused, and the registry marks iron overload from the newest value and sorts those patients first — computed in the SELECT, never stored.
  4. Run the chelation courseStart a course on deferasirox, deferiprone or desferrioxamine and end it when it stops; a course already ended cannot be ended again.
  5. Read the rowEach patient carries the newest ferritin with its overload flag, the mean pre-Hb of the last three episodes, the transfusions in the last twelve months and the chelation drug they are on.

Same patient record as every other app — nothing is copied into a silo. Data class: Full PHI.

What it does not do

It does not book a transfusion without the crossmatch pathway (BloodLine) cleared.

Every app page carries this section. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.
