What it is

Spirometry results as structured observations with predicted-value grading and serial comparison across visits. Lung clinics: one long-term case per patient per condition — interstitial lung disease (the FVC read from signed tests beside the HRCT score on the scoring system the radiologist names, DLCO and the six-minute walk, antifibrotics on the timeline), bronchiectasis (exacerbations read against the airway-clearance sessions logged and the number a week the doctor prescribed), pulmonary hypertension (six-minute walk distance, WHO functional class and each titration step together) and chronic cough (each cause — asthma, reflux, upper airway, an ACE inhibitor, eosinophilic bronchitis — worked through with the test or trial and what it found, so a cause already ruled out is not tried again without a reason, and the working diagnosis). Nothing reads a scan or decides treatment, and no cut-off ships.

How it works

Open the sessionA session takes the patient, when it was performed and the height in centimetres, which the service holds between 100 and 250 because the predicted values depend on it.
Grade the blowsMeasurements records the quality grade with the volumes, and a test graded d or f carries no interpretation — the database refuses one on it, so a bad blow cannot be talked past.
Record the volumes and signFEV1 and FVC, and the post-bronchodilator pair as both volumes or neither; an FEV1 above the FVC is refused as a typing error. Signing needs both volumes and an interpretation — normal, obstructive, restrictive or mixed — and after that the session is a document.
Read the seriesSeries lists that patient’s tests in order with the FEV1 change between them, and the ratio and reversibility come back computed rather than stored, so correcting a volume moves them.
Run a lung clinicOn Lung clinics, pick interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, pulmonary hypertension or chronic cough and open a case. Fibrosis reads the FVC from signed tests beside the HRCT score on the radiologist’s named system; bronchiectasis counts clearance sessions against the doctor’s prescription beside exacerbations; pulmonary hypertension keeps the six-minute walk, WHO class and each titration step; a cough case works cause by cause, and a cause already ruled out needs a reason to try again.
