What SpeechPath does

Assessment batteries, therapy blocks with session goals, and home programmes completed in the companion with progress the therapist sees before the next session.

How you actually use it

  1. Plan the course and write its goalsPlan a course takes the patient, the condition and the planned sessions; a second open course for the same patient is refused, and the course starts only once it has a goal.
  2. Assess the domain and its severityAn assessment records articulation, fluency, voice, language or swallowing at mild, moderate or severe, with a note.
  3. Set home practice with a weekly targetA practice task carries what to do and how many times a week, and the compliance figure on it is computed against that target rather than stored.
  4. Take the practice report from homeA report records how many times the task was done that week and whether the parent or the patient is saying so, and the same week cannot be reported twice for one task.
  5. Recommend a diet texture only after a swallow assessmentAn IDDSI level lands on the course only where swallowing has actually been assessed — the service refuses it otherwise.
