What KitBuilder does

Named kits per procedure with pick-lists that decrement stock, returns that restock only what came back sealed, and per-kit costing feeding PriceQuote.

How you actually use it

  1. Name the kitA kit name and the procedure it is packed for. A name already in use is refused.
  2. List its contentsUnder Contents pick a stock item and the quantity per kit. Each line shows how much of that item is usable on the shelf, and is marked short when it is below the kit’s quantity.
  3. Issue itIssue asks what the kit is for, a case number or a bed, and takes every line off the shelf first-expiry-first in one transaction. If the store is short by even one line, the whole kit is refused rather than issued half-picked.
  4. Return what came backReturn records how many came back and their condition. Only an unused return goes back on the shelf; opened or contaminated is recorded as consumed with what happened to it.
  5. Read the issue ledgerEach issue shows what went out, what came back, what was consumed and what is unaccounted for, line by line with the batch and expiry.
