What DeltaCheck does

Every result compared with the patient’s own history; an improbable jump — a potassium that doubled, a creatinine that halved — holds the report for human review, because the likeliest explanation is somebody else’s blood.

How you actually use it

  1. Write the rule per analyteHow large a jump against the patient’s own previous result is improbable enough to hold.
  2. Check a result, or a whole orderThe check runs against that patient’s history, which is the comparison that catches somebody else’s blood.
  3. Work the open flagsVerified correct, sample error, analyser error, or repeat requested. The two error outcomes need a note saying what happened.
  4. Watch the flag ratePer analyte, over thirty days. A rule that flags everything is a rule the bench has already learned to ignore.
