How it works

Write the rule per analyteHow large a jump against the patient’s own previous result is improbable enough to hold.
Check a result, or a whole orderThe check runs against that patient’s history, which is the comparison that catches somebody else’s blood.
Work the open flagsVerified correct, sample error, analyser error, or repeat requested. The two error outcomes need a note saying what happened.
