What SteriLog does

Sterilisation loads with cycle parameters, indicators and release signatures — traceable from tray to patient case.

How you actually use it

  1. Register the steriliserEach autoclave, plasma or EtO machine is registered by name, and its cycles are numbered per machine.
  2. Start the cycleStart cycle opens a numbered cycle on that steriliser; trays are packed onto it before it runs, and a retired machine takes none.
  3. Record the three indicatorsRecord result takes the physical and chemical indicators as ticks and the biological indicator as pending, pass or fail — results go on a pending cycle only.
  4. Release only what the indicators earnedRelease is refused unless the BI passed and both the physical and chemical indicators are ok, held by a CHECK as well as the guarded update.
  5. Recall a released cycleRecall (BI failure) quarantines every tray of that cycle in one update, in the same transaction, stamped on the cycle — and only a released cycle can be recalled.
