What it is

A view inside Early Warning — installing it installs Early Warning and Bedside Risk, the two apps that own the numbers. Deterioration on the current stay is NEWS2, which Early Warning computes from the nurse’s own observations; complication risk is Morse, Braden and Padua, which Bedside Risk computes and bands on every read. This is the one view across both: a stay’s NEWS2 trend, its open escalation and its falls, pressure and clot scores together, with the time each was taken. It is not a third scoring engine.

How it works

Open the ward risk boardEach row on Early Warning’s Ward risk board carries its NEWS2 band or unscored, and pressing Chart / trend — Trend alone without chart access — expands it.
Read the stay’s risk from both engines side by sideAlso scored on this stay lists Bedside Risk’s own falls, pressure and clot scores for the same stay, each with its scale, when it was assessed and how many interventions are in place, or nothing in place.
Two permissions, not oneThe bedside half needs risk.read separately from ews.read; without it the panel is simply absent while the NEWS2 trend still shows, rather than the screen pretending one permission covers both.
Nothing here is computed twiceThe NEWS2 total is EarlyWarn’s own score and the bands are BedsideRisk’s own — a second calculator here would be a second answer to the same question, so this screen reads, it does not recompute.

Every number in it was calculated by the app that owns it, and no model is involved at any point: this is two existing scores shown side by side, which is why there is no prediction here and nothing to accept or reject.

Locally validated risk prediction for Indian conditions is a different product and would need a validation partner before it could honestly ship.
