What RenalStage does

eGFR trends stage the disease; checklists carry the patient from CKD clinic to access surgery to the dialysis or transplant list.

How you actually use it

  1. Chart the resultChart a result takes the patient, the creatinine and the eGFR exactly as the lab reported it — the equation the lab used is part of the result, so nothing is recomputed here.
  2. Let the stage compute itselfThe registry bands the latest eGFR into a stage on every load and stores nothing, so the day a new result lands the stage moves without anyone editing a field.
  3. Work the stage 5, no fistula listThe registry marks and sorts to the top every patient whose latest filtration is in the last band with no fistula recorded, computed from the readiness stamps rather than set by anybody.
  4. Stamp the readiness checklistVascular access planned, Fistula created, Hepatitis B vaccinated and Dialysis education given are each stamped once with the person who did it, and a fistula cannot be recorded before access was planned.
  5. Keep the transplant workupAdd a workup item for what has to be done, and marking it done stamps who did it — the registry row carries how many are still open.

What it reads

lab resultspatient record

What it writes

stagingsworkup checklists
Same patient record as every other app — nothing is copied into a silo. Data class: Full PHI.

What it does not do

It does not prioritise the transplant list — allocation stays with the registry.

Every app page carries this section. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.
