A months-long phototherapy course dosed the same way at every visit and by every therapist. No dose ships with the app: the clinic’s dermatologist writes the protocol — the kind (NB-UVB, BB-UVB, PUVA or UVA1) and its unit, the starting dose, the step up as a percentage or a fixed amount, the ceiling, whether to hold or reduce after mild or moderate erythema, and optionally what to do after a gap of so many days — with its source named. A course copies the protocol when it starts, with the patient’s Fitzpatrick skin type, the area treated and the indication, so a later edit does not change a course already running. At each session the erythema since the last one is asked first; the server works out the planned dose from the protocol and the last dose given and says why. The therapist gives it, or a lower dose with a reason; only the prescriber can give more, with a reason kept against their name. Severe erythema gives no dose and pauses the course until the prescriber resumes it at a dose they set. Each course shows its cumulative dose and the patient’s total over every course of the same kind.
What it does not do, by design. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.
