What it is

For a clinic that runs medicals for factories and companies. The employer is a CorpDesk corporate client; a batch is one round of its medicals — pre-employment, periodic, return to work, exit or a special round for a hazardous process — with the tests agreed with the employer, the process or exposure in the employer’s words, and how many months until the next periodic exam. Each worker in the batch is a patient. Their tests are recorded as reported, only the agreed ones, with anything abnormal marked. A doctor then decides fitness — fit, fit with restrictions (said), temporarily unfit (with the reason and a review date) or unfit (with the reason) — only once every agreed test is in, and the decision is theirs and does not change. A fit worker’s certificate is drafted on CertificateDesk from the clinic’s own fitness template, so the wording of the state’s Factories Rules form (Form 33 and the like) is the clinic’s, and the doctor signs it there. The fitness register keeps each worker’s latest decision, the due list shows reviews and periodic exams in the next 30 days, and the employer gets a batch’s results as a CSV. A season’s pre-participation sports physicals for a school, club or academy run the same way: the batch is the season, its parts (history, cardiac examination, musculoskeletal screen, concussion history) are your own items, and the doctor’s clearance — cleared, cleared with restrictions, not cleared yet with a review date, or not cleared — is dated to that season, never carried over from the last.
