What DrugInfoDesk does

Pharmacist-answered drug information queries — interactions, compatibility, pregnancy safety — logged with references, searchable, and feeding the formulary’s notes.

How you actually use it

  1. Ask the pharmacistThe question goes in as it would be asked at the counter, under dosing, interaction, pregnancy, renal, adverse, administration or other, and routine or urgent.
  2. Cite firstAdd reference takes the citation, the kind of source — textbook, journal, product insert, database or guideline — and an optional link; the citation has to say enough to find the source again.
  3. Then answerRecord answer is disabled until a reference exists and the button says why; the guarded update demands the reference too, because an answer with no reference is a recollection with a timestamp on it.
  4. Search what has been asked beforeThe search box runs a plain case-insensitive match over the question and the answer text — there is no index to keep warm and nothing to rebuild.
  5. Publish the good onesPublish to FAQ turns an answered query into a reusable one with an optional topic; a query that has not been answered cannot be published.
