CoughCheck

◦ in design

A phone that listens to a cough, and knows when to worry.

Clinical · Full PHI · Pulmonology · Paediatrics

What CoughCheck does

Acoustic screening of cough and breathing sounds for respiratory red flags — asthma, COPD, pneumonia, TB suspicion — built for low-resource and paediatric settings where the phone is the only instrument in the room. Output is always a referral prompt with the recording attached for the clinician.

What it reads

What it writes

screening flagsreferral prompts
Same patient record as every other app — nothing is copied into a silo. Data class: Full PHI.

What it does not do

It does not name a disease — it grades concern and routes to a clinician, uncertainty included.

Every app page carries this section. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.
