What BurnsPath does

TBSA mapping with Parkland calculation shown long-hand, dressing schedules, graft records, and the months of contracture surveillance and physio that follow discharge.

How you actually use it

  1. Enrol with the time of the burnFind the patient, give when the burn happened, the mechanism, TBSA %, weight and whether there is an inhalation injury, then press Enrol; a TBSA or a weight outside plausibility is refused.
  2. Read the Parkland clockThe registry shows what was given against the first half due eight hours after the burn — not after admission — and against the 24-hour total, both computed from the enrolment and never stored.
  3. Chart fluidsDetail opens the fluid ledger; Record fluid takes the millilitres, and only what went in inside eight hours of the burn counts towards the first half.
  4. Record dressings and range of motionRecord dressing takes the area, the product and the next due date; Record range takes a joint and degrees, and the change is against the same joint’s last reading.
  5. Refer physio and stop with a reasonRefer physio happens once per enrolment and the row reads no physio until it is done; Stop asks why.

What it reads

observations

What it writes

mapsschedules
Same patient record as every other app — nothing is copied into a silo. Data class: Full PHI.

What it does not do

It does not compute fluids from an unmapped burn — the map comes first.

Every app page carries this section. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.
