Is this drug genuine? A scan answers at the counter.

In plain words: Scan a drug to check it’s genuine.

What VerifyRx does

Point-of-dispensing authenticity: scan the GS1 barcode or scratch code and verify against manufacturer databases before the strip crosses the counter, with failures quarantining the batch in StoreStock and pairing with ColdChain’s excursion log so integrity and authenticity are one answer.

How you actually use it

  1. Read the banner before the first scanThe card at the top says the app cannot confirm a pack is genuine — that needs the manufacturer or regulator that issued the serial, and this deployment has no such service to call.
  2. Scan the codePaste or scan the GS1 code and optionally the counter it was scanned at; the parser reads the GTIN, batch, expiry and serial, and a code it cannot read is recorded as unreadable rather than quietly passed.
  3. Read the verdict and the sentence behind itEach verdict — expired, batch not known here, recalled, serial seen before, or nothing here says otherwise — carries the reason that produced it, checked against this clinic’s own stock and its own recall list.
  4. Keep the recall listA recall is added by the drug as the notice names it, the batch and where the notice came from, and the same batch cannot be listed twice because a second notice is the same recall.
  5. Resolve the holdsA flagged scan opens a hold; resolving it takes returned, destroyed or released after check, with a note saying what was done and on whose say-so.

What it reads

stock batchesmanufacturer registries

What it writes

verification logsquarantine flags
Same patient record as every other app — nothing is copied into a silo. Data class: No PHI.

What it does not do

It does not guess — a code that cannot be verified is flagged, never assumed genuine.

Every app page carries this section. A listing with only benefits is an advertisement.
