What it is

For IVF chains. Each embryo transfer’s results are recorded on Embryo Lab in the order they are learnt — the pregnancy test, the scan (sacs, heartbeats, ectopic), the outcome — each once, by a clinician. From them, every centre’s clinical pregnancy and live-birth rates per embryo transfer, cycle type by cycle type (fresh or frozen, read from the embryos’ own thaw steps; own or donor eggs), counted with the ICMART / WHO glossary’s definitions (Zegers-Hochschild et al., 2017) so no centre looks better by counting differently. A transfer still waiting is counted as waiting and one lost to follow-up is shown on its own, never quietly lowering a rate. Each centre decides whether its figures are shared with the group; another centre’s small counts are hidden.
