An incidental finding on a scan — a lung nodule scored by the Fleischner criteria, a thyroid nodule by TI-RADS, an adrenal mass flagged for follow-up — gets its own entry with the recommended follow-up interval, and it stays open on a worklist until a radiologist or referring doctor marks it resolved, so a finding buried in a report from eight months ago does not just disappear.
