A patient with valve disease that carries an endocarditis risk is flagged automatically the moment a dental or other invasive procedure is booked anywhere in the system, and the antibiotic prophylaxis given is recorded — the two-way check that a fragmented record between a cardiologist and a dentist usually misses.
