Every VAC dressing change logged against the pressure setting, canister output, and wound-bed appearance, so a therapy that runs for weeks has a continuous record instead of scattered nursing notes. A canister output or pressure reading outside the expected range for that wound is flagged for review.
It does not control the VAC device — settings are entered by the nurse changing the dressing, not read from the machine.
