What it is

A chronic cough is worked through the standard sequence of causes — reflux, post-nasal drip, asthma, and the rest — with each step’s result recorded, so a patient does not repeat a test that was already tried by a previous doctor, and the pathway shows exactly which cause has and hasn’t been ruled out.
